Owen is a professionally qualified registered Australian and New Zealand Patent Attorney and Australian Trade Mark Attorney. He has experience in all facets of IP law in all of the major jurisdictions, with his recent experience focuses on P.R. China, Hong Kong, and South-East Asia IP law, practice and procedure. Owen was previously a senior attorney at the Hong Kong office of a preeminent international IP firm for a number of years, and prior to that, worked as a patent attorney at a leading Australian IP firm. 

Owen’s patent practice covers electronics, electrical engineering, power engineering, LED technology, software and computer-implemented inventions, medical devices, mechanical devices, and chemical process technology. He also lectures at universities and presents at seminars and conferences on the subject of IP and commercialisation.
