2018 Masterclass Series: Strategic Planning

Call for Volunteer Experts for our Masterclass Series

We are delighted to inform you that we will be holding our annual masterclass to support women business owners with their own business development and growth of their company. We are now looking for Volunteer Experts/Consultants for each session to offer your expertise, knowledge and insights to our members.

While it may not sound very sexy, the 2019 Business Masterclass is focusing on Strategic Planning, which is often overlooked for one of two reasons: either because a business owner thinks strategic planning is only for larger companies or because they simply haven’t made it a priority in the face of more urgent day-to-day concerns.

We’ve broken the broad subject into three topics:

30th April 2019
Session 1: Financial Planning – Create the Blueprint to Smash Your Business Goals

Our vision for this session is for our participants to create a financial plan that allows them to manage the growth of their business. The first part of the session is focused on providing participants with the theory, and the second half of the session being practical with participants actually using the time to review or start their financial plan.

16th May 2019
Session 2: Marketing Plan – Presenting Your Business for Ultimate Success

Our vision for this session is for our participants to create a realistic marketing plan that plans for growth, allows them to track campaigns and prepares them for seasonal changes. The first part of the session is focused on providing participants with the theory, and the second half of the session being practical with participants actually using the time to review or start their marketing plan.

6th June 2019
Session 3: Operational Plan – Hiring, Training and Leading a Winning Team to take Your Company Forward

Our vision for this session is for our participants to create a realistic operational plan that focuses on the people, and planning for growth from an operational perspective. The first part of the session is focused on providing participants with the theory, and the second half of the session being practical with participants actually using the time to review or start their operational plan.

The flow of each session is as follows:

10:00am – Introduction and Welcome
10:15am – Masterclass with Experts (educating participants on the theory)
12:00pm – Lunch / Working Break
1:00pm – Networking / Connecting with Participants and Experts
1:30pm – Circles with Experts (practical application with participants working on their plans)
3:30pm – Wrap up
4:00pm – Finish

Our goal for the Business Masterclass Series is to offer practical and hands-on working time for participants to take their learning in the morning and take action on their own plans in the afternoon.

Volunteer Experts/Consultants will work with 2 other experts to present the theory of their session, and then individually lead a small circle of 5-6 women to answer questions as they work through their plans, putting the theory into practice within their own business. The purpose of the small circle is to assist women business owners to develop their strategic plan.

Liz Search and Nicole Graham are leading and organising the Business Masterclass Series will work closely with you. We will meet at least twice prior to the sessions. Meetings will be held via Zoom.

If you are interested in volunteering to be an expert, please complete the form below. Liz and Nicole will be in contact with you.

More About WEN

The Women Entrepreneurs Network is a non-profit organisation that evolved from the Women Business Owners Club. Our mission is to encourage, educate, and empower women to scale up their business. We specifically support women who have been in business for 3+ years and want to grow their business. Our member’s business experience varies from 3 to 20 years, and our board members have all been in business for 10+ years.

Our events are paid events, however, we do not charge a membership fee. Any women in their own business and fits our criteria above can attend our events. The money we earn from the events pays for our administrative assistant, as well as various running expenses such as banks and paypal fees, website management and hosting etc. All board members are volunteers.
